# Some emacs fun

## Emacs

Spent the last couple of days after work screwing
around making an emacs from scratch configuration. In
the end, I set it aside for now and have re-stowed
my Doom Emacs config. I'll revisit this from time to
time as a side project. It has been instructive for
sure.

Debian 9 on my Gemini PDA has a known issue with
CA Certificates. To be able to roll an emacs config
from scratch I needed to be able to access https
URLs. I chased my own tail for a while trying to fix
this, before installing certs and another copy of
emacs from Gnu Guix ended up being the solution.
