# lounging, emacs, binge watching

## lounging

On this vacation, I have been gleefully doing a lot of
nothing. Made my trademark turkey for the fam, and Turkey
Mole burritos for me (1/2 bottle of cholula and 2 giant
Hershey bars in the mole sauce, my fave).

I slept wrong somehow a few days ago and now I find it
painful to raise my right arm. This too shall pass.

## emacs

I wanted a portable emacs config, so I wrote one. It uses
use-package and keeps the packages it uses to a minimum as
I do not require a whole lot. So far tested on my Gemini
PDA, my phone, and the ThinkCentre of Death. Works well,
just a shell script that makes ~/.emacs.d, copies init.el
to it, and then starts emacs. This sounds readily obvious,
but if you read this phlog, you'll know it doesn't take
much to make me happy.

## binge watching

My wife and I finished watching the series *Hell on Wheels*
a few days ago. I really got into this show. I also admired
the main character's leather vest, so I bought a hand made
leather vest in the style of it off of Etsy, for a not small
sum of money. Looks good, though.

Now we are between series to watch when I am off work. We
watched *Breaking Bad*, *Better Call Saul*, *Sons of
Anarchy*, *Vikings*, and *HoW*. Now to find another series...
I didn't watch television much for the past 20 years, so I
am sure there's some good ones still left.
