Week of 2022-12-11: Thursday by Peach Pit

I've been listening to Peach Pit for around 5
years, and some of their songs really bring me
back to significant moments in life.

I think the first song I heard was Peach Pit
(self titled), driving with my sister Sammy and
her then boyfriend. It was his pick, and the
vibe just blew me away. Soon after I heard
Alrighty Aphrodite, and it became one of the
most common songs for my brother Matt and I to
jam on during our pandemic "Jam Tuesdays".

It wasn't until this week that I got the chance
to see them live, and they didn't disappoint!
I went with Jennie, Matt, Matt's friend David,
and my dad (he likes coming to shows!) to the
Boston House of Blues. The show was great; I
could have used a _tiny_ bit more improv
(they played studio solos), but they nailed all
their parts and the energy was there. Would
go again.

Thursday is the pick of the week because its
the song that stuck with me as a "new song I
wouldn't be listening to if I hadn't heard it
live". I love songs like that.
