Week of 2023-01-01: Auld Lang Syne

Ah new years 2023. Big family reunion in VA Beach.
Just minutes before the ball dropped Matt, Nick,
Justin and I were jamming on the lower floor (2
guitars and a cajon). I think we played Drop the
Guillotine (Peach Pit), Twin Size Mattress (although
maybe after the drop), and a few others.

We rushed upstairs with ~10m to spare. Joined "the
adults" (I guess we're adults now). Were handed
champagne.

My dad queued up the karaoke Auld Lang Syne, and
when the ball dropped, we all sang (after I kissed
Jennie of course).

It's so special that we still get together as a
family, despite distance, age, and jobs. I feel
grateful.
