The best way to serve files from your ftp dir is to make your (ftp dir=gopher dir). Barring that the easiest way is to use symbolic links, but they may not want to run the server that way. It is also possible to compose a link entry that will point at an anon ftp entry. You do not give a gopher below so I cannot give you the exact entry. On some versions of UNIX this will not work at all.
