EMACS is a text editor that is quite powerful and, to some, much 
friendlier than vi. There are versions available on Mac, PC (DOS/OS2), 
UNIX, and Next (I think). You should be able to find it almost anywhere. 
I'd tell you if I could do an archie search, but this site doesn't 
provide that...
