But I would like to clear up the description of a manatee. They are considered "the sea cow," in the Florida area and some have made mention it is the mythical mermaid or siren of the greek's. If you go snokeling/diving in the Crystal River area in Florida, the manatee is one of the greatest thrills to swim with! They are on the endanger list.
