Hope this is the right group for diddling help.  A friend of mine sends out
the weekly bar hopping guide for our "group of people" (in no way
affiliated with our business).  The name of the newsletter is "The Brewing
Rumor," and someone had drawn something similar to the pictures below for
the home page of the newsletter and related items.

I gifscii'd the drawing, and came up with the big picture (below), after a
lot of diddling (while waiting for my compiler).  However, the drawing is too
big to send on a weekly e-mail.  I tried shrinking it, but I'm having
trouble making the glass look less like a flashlight.

Can anyone help?
