   ASCIIPaint for the Mac is available at Umich, and at WWA in the 
pub/Scarecrow/Software folder.

   It's rather basic, but it does work.  It has a pencil tool which 
allows you to draw.  You can change the character being drawn with by 
pressing the key on the keyboard.

   You can draw over what has already been drawn. It has an eraser, and a 
grid you can switch on and off.  You can either copy the image, or save it.

   I would like to see more drawing tools (to make circles, boxes, etc) and 
a bigger drowing area.  It would be nice to be able to copy and paste 
portions of a pic, or flip and rotate.   And it would really help to be 
able to see things light on dark.
