Anyway, I'm working on system for transmitting messages to mobile phones and it occured to me that it might be possible to create art on the phone screen, there are some limitations but I'd be delighted to see what people can come up with. The screen is only 10x3 characters, with a small gap (about a pixel) between characters. Characters are 5x8 and the character set is also limited to (roughly) basic ASCII (up to 127). I don't know if it's possible to create art with such limitations. If anyone has any art that might be fitted onto a phone I'd love to have a copy, my news feed is very dodgy so if you could mail me (bill1@jcp.co.uk) it would help, failing that I'll try to get back onto news at a later stage.
