2020-05-26 - Veritas liberabit vos (response to jynx)

 Discovered  today   that  my  response  to   tfurrows  was  utterly
 disgusting, and that it portrayed the white race as the root of all
 evil.
 
 Worth pointing out, the phrase "Whitey  on the Moon" isn't mine, it
 belongs  to  Gill Scott-Heron.  I'd  direct  the complaint  in  his
 direction,  but seeing  as the  man has  been dead  these past  ten
 years, I'd imagine he's past caring.
 
 As to myself, I used Scott-Heron's poem to illustrate a point; that
 the Exploration of Space and  the Apollo Program in particular were
 incredibly expensive  projects undertaken  at a time  when economic
 inequality was running rampant  in the United States. Scott-Heron's
 experience of  that inequality was  as a  black man living  in that
 country; he wrote  his poem as a expiation of  that experience, and
 its lessons are still valid today.
 
 Reading the  voluminous and pustulent  screed, I am perplexed  at a
 number of points, but will take just a few for further examination,
 in particular the  idea that I said anything at  all about "holding
 back  other races"  or "But  they [meaning  white people]  have the
 power."
 
 I  never said  either of  those things.  My personal  political and
 economic  philosophies don't  admit to  holding such  beliefs. I've
 never stated  that the average  working stiff is the  *opponent* in
 anything. The struggle is  against the billionaire kleptocrat class
 who  derive their  power from  the exploitation  of the  masses and
 their enablers.
 
 That does not  mean, however, that my personal praxis  allows me to
 overlook bullshit  when its  piled ten foot  high and  steaming. To
 quote from the diatribe:

 I hardly know where to begin with this crock of shit. First of all,
 I *love* the claim that "white"  people are 8% of the population of
 the earth.  Given that most  accounting of the  planet's demography
 places Caucasian  numbers at something approximating  16-20% of the
 total, that means there's a whole  load of people being left out in
 this particular accounting. I can take a few guesses at who, by the
 way; I'd  imagine the very  white populations of Central  and South
 America are being cut as "below par" or "not properly white".
 
 I'm also wondering  which white homelands are  being invaded? Given
 the fact that (with a few  small populations aside, like the Irish)
 almost all colonial  / invasion activity since  the Reconquista has
 been  carried  out  _by_  White  Europeans  _of_  Non-White  Native
 Populations, I'm really curious which Indigenuous White People have
 been decimated  by disease,  starvation and simple  mass slaughter.
 After all, fair's fair.
 
 Given that,  I'm desperately curious  to know: what are  the "White
 Homeland Nations"?

 So, depending on the colour of my skin, the same conduct can either
 be excused -or- categorised as evil?  You know, there's  a word for 
 that type of thinking, don't you?

 Lets see, gotta pull out the old checklist here.
 
 - Looks like a duck?   Check.
 - Swims like a duck?   Check.
 - Quacks like a duck?  Check.
 
 Yup, you're a fucking racist.
 
 What's more, you wrote that at the end of your crappy racist screed
 *because* you  *know* you're  a racist. Me  calling you  racist was
 inevitable, not because of any perfidy  on my part, but because you
 are.
 
 I am sorry you're  out of work, I am sorry that  you took shit from
 other kids  when you were a  kid. None of that  excuses the hateful
 shit you've written in your post. You say "Fuck you"; I say "I pity
 you". There's no  excuse for the type of world  which spits out the
 type of  rage- and hate-filled  person you've so clearly  become. I
 sincerely hope  you find the  support and  the help you  so clearly
 need, and I hope you can listen to the angels of your better nature
 rather than the demons of division and anger.
