Subj : Callsign Updates To : All From : Daryl Stout Date : Tue Jan 08 2019 09:21 pm Amateur Radio Callsign Update from the FCC as of Jan. 2, 2019. These are in "sequential" format, and do not necessarily include "vanity callsigns". Data is from the HamData.Com website at www.hamdata.com/fccinfo.html -- so, check that, in case typographical errors are in this message. In some regions, all the sequential callsigns have been issued, so other callsign groups are being noted as well. The first 2 entries for regions 0 through 9 are for Technician or General class licensees (starting with a K), and then for Amateur Extra Class licensees (starting with an A). The regions are noted as per Appendix 2, in Part 97 of the FCC Rules. NOTE: As per a story in Amateur Radio Newsline Report #2149, the FCC has now SUSPENDED OPERATION, as of Jan. 3, 2019. Until the partial U.S. government shutdown is ended, there will be no processing of either new sequential and vanity callsigns, new licenses, license upgrades, renewals, etc. I have sent an email to ARRL/VEC, asking about the status of licensees, whose licenses expire during the shutdown, or for those who couldn't renew during the shutdown, before the license lapsed (being expired more than 2 years). As of late Jan. 8, 2019, I have not yet heard anything from ARRL/VEC on this...and have no idea if or when, I'll get a response. Once the shutdown ends, there likely will be quite a backlog of data to get into the FCC ULS, from the various VEC's. Amateur Radio Operators, prospective and current, are asked to be patient, due to the delay in license processing. VE Teams can enter the data from exam sessions, but can't key it to the FCC until after the shutdown ends. I understand that some VE Teams are CANCELLING exam sessions until the shutdown ends. When that will occur is the $64 trillion question. Lastly, eventually, the FCC will no longer accept Social Security Numbers on an NCVEC Form 605 -- one will have to obtain an FRN from the FCC CORES website PRIOR to going to a license exam session...or they will NOT be able to take the license exam. *** Region 0: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota KE0UBJ AE0EV KI0TL *** Region 1: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont KC1KTD AC1GQ KE1MT *** Region 2: New Jersey and New York KD2RDV AC2YL *** Region 3: Delaware, District Of Columbia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania KC3MRH AC3DV KF3EU *** Region 4: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia KN4RLT AK4ZZ KX4PC *** Region 5: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas KI5CTV AG5SO KM5ZL *** Region 6: California KM6YVN AJ6HL KR6GI *** Region 7: Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming KJ7CZY AG7RU KK7ZO *** Region 8: Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia KE8LEH AD8CP KI8KX *** Region 9: Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin KD9MFW AC9UG KG9RJ *** Hawaii WH6FZR AH6VQ Alaska KL4TO AL3T AL7RY WL7CYD Northern Marianas KH0ZX WH0ACE Guam NH2LP AH2EH American Samoa KH8E AH8Z WH8ABM Virgin Islands NP2RK KP2CY Puerto Rico WP4QYA WP4HD --- SBBSecho 3.06-Win32 * Origin: RadioWxNet: The Thunderbolt BBS tbolt.synchro.net (801:1/2) þ Synchronet þ Temple of Doom BBS - tod.eothnet.com .
