I happen to like many asian pieces better than current American cinema. Korean neo-noirs are quite fine. Their epics are also quite fine. Best of all, they lack all the Western political crap Hollywood is trying to bundle with everything. A number of people I have met online is actively rejecting American cultural material in favor of Asian material for that reason alone. Go figure. I have no experience with Russian cinema, but I have watched some mystery and detective pieces from Eastern Europe and they were ok (not great). -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- þ Synchronet þ Palantir BBS * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL .
