Yeah, Assuming he is a straight white man by his actions here alone is pretty bigoted.. I'm a straight whit man, and I don't care what anyone does or does'nt do, is or is'nt, as long as it does'nt me or my loved ones.. "Straight White Man" is a fairly large "Demographic".. so yes.. statistically it could come up like that in the numbers.. especially if they go back into the Jim Crow era.. because then, that is the only demographic that had a voice.. 

With the internet, everyone has a voice.. Now a lot of "demographics" are using that voice to really hurt themselves in the long-run.. 

From what I've seen in my life.. EVERYONE is bigoted, EVERYONE is racist, EVERYONE is self-centered, Some to a larger extent than others. Some are closeted, while others don't care to let it fly for all to hear. If you think anything differenly, you are lying to yourself.

Don't see this as a message protecting that behavior, because I despise it, and I hope the human race can evolve beyond it before we implode.
