Before you try to whip out the "retro" card, I'm reasonably sure I've been doing this longer than you, and even in the early 90's quoting was the de-facto standard on any kind of BBS. The people doing the non-quoting thing here lately are on modern BBS software and are either ignorant or stubborn to not be doing it the way that is generally accepted.
