Snagged a Remington 540X in .22LR at a show in Pennsylvania, scored a decent deal on a 91/30 at a show in New York, a few other good deals. I have to admit that my list of "must have" guns has been depleted quite a bit, particularly since my wife managed to get me some 1944 vintage M1s (one Garand, one carbine - because she didn't know which one I really wanted). I'm like you, mostly dig on the knives and accessories at the shows. The guns themselves are usually overpriced at the gun shows, the vendors thinking they'll find a big score. I have a select few that I actually buy from, those are folks I have dealt with in the past and can trust that a) they'll be at the next show in case b) something goes wrong.
