It has one of those firing-pin blockers designed to prevent it from going off if something hits the hammer accidentally, and that is it. Maybe the manufacturer thought making the trigger hard as heck counted as a safety measure. But hey, the guy that sold it to me warned me that it was only good for putting cattle reustlers on their knees and executing them point blank, because it is too junky for anything else.
