By: Fakeshemp to ALL on Wed Jul 06 2022 11:50:00 Hi Greg, Thanks very much for your reply here, great to find someone with a mutual interest. I am first time BBS user in about 40 years so it will be bit awkward to navigate for a while. I did manage to get telnet working so that is making my bbs exploration a lot easier now. My experience is the same as yours on hb1bbs, so I am not going to fret too much now since I have telnet working and can start to explore other options and places as well. I have seen reference to a couple of bpq ham bbs's so I will start with that and see if I can find anything. I'm on western side of US now in MT (travel slowly full time) so probably never make it direct but that is one reason I am here, is to learn if packet is active in the bbs/telnet world to see if connections can be made there. My first goal is to see if I could forward a message from one ham bbs to another. I have managed to hook up by packet to a bbs about a 100 miles from me here but they do not seem to forward any messages so it seems like a total dead end here and i seem to be the only active packet station for 100-200 miles around, not sure. My call is N0LKC and would be great to keep in contact with you to see if we can do any packet or bbs radio oriented networking. My email address is ok on QRZ also. Hope to keep in touch on any progress we can make between us, many thanks, from Clifford N0LKC portable in MT. --- þ Synchronet þ From the Old Time BBS (oldtimebbs.com) .
