Heck, some HP servers are designed to accept only their (lame) fans, and if you want to incorporate a good fan, you have to disassemble the thing and rewire it. I use a lot of second hand Dells. They made so many early Optiplex units that the second hand market here is flooded by them. Sure, an official replacement part for some component may be expŠensive, but more often than not you can go into an IT shop and ask if they have some spare part. Last time I did that they had 4 disassembled Optiplexes they were using for spare parts. I got a PSU replacement for 10 bucks. I know this won't apply to modern gaming equipment, but I thought it was worth sharing. -- gopher://gopher.richardfalken.com/1/richardfalken --- þ Synchronet þ Palantir BBS * palantirbbs.ddns.net * Pensacola, FL .
