Yeah there was loads of that going on with the SNES, especially in the later years of the scene where Nintendo was a little behind Sony and Sega in having a next generation console available for purchase. Yoshi's Island is a good example. It didn't happen so much with the Genesis but Sega was pushing its 32X addon which didn't work out for them. MN ....
