That's mainly why I switched to Cherry MX Brown keyboards.  I really 
prefer the feel of the model-m style buckling spring keys more than 
anything.  It's just a unique key travel that's hard to emulate.  It can 
be annoying though...

On typing, my daughter had a party and I was up in the loft typing, and 
apparently people thought I was just goofing around as they didn't 
believe you could type that fast.  I'd be surprised if I hit over 100wpm 
anymore though.
