To me, BBSing has been about long-form posting - it's a place to write
well thought out responses in more than 140 characters. Porting Fido to
Telegram is interesting, and it fills a missing niche of FTN on a phone.

If you're looking for a Fido "fix" on a phone, the gated telegram groups
are nice. Posting from Telegram to Fido loses something - people
occasionally post image memes which is relevant to a microblogging
audience, but all a Fido reader sees is an image URL.

I'm my own case here, but downloading QWK packets and reading them with
a console-based QWK reader is what I've done since the mid-90s. I've
tried NNTP, points, web-based fidonet forums and Telegram, but keep
coming back to QWK - despite some obvious limitations.
