I definitely mention open source projects, but only in vague terms. If they want specifics (and the normally don't), then I would name names. It's certainly relevant to a lot of pertinent work, but I wouldn't want someone randomly opening a source file and judging my skills/style based on it. Some of that code is nearly 30 years old and not something I feel is a good example of my current skills or style.
