John had worked with John Nordlund, AD5FU, on setting up D-Star in Arkansas. *** Obituary from Roller-Ballard Funeral Home, Benton John David Hale, 58, of Little Rock passed away Monday, July 25, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice in St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born December 6, 1957 in Little Rock to the late Leon and Sarah Austin Hale. Mr. Hale was a RF engineer with AT & T. He had a great interest and love for ham radio (his callsign was AE5AR). Mr. Hale's mother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Ginger Hale; three sons, Michael Blacklock of Benton, Christopher Hale, and Robert Blacklock of Hot Springs; two daughters, Stephanie Hale and Sissy Blacklock of Little Rock; one brother, Joseph Daryl Hale, and 6 grandchildren, Azlee Blacklock, Jordan Hunter, Walker Jay, Trinity Blacklock, and Cayden Blacklock. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at McPherson Cemetery in Benton officiated by Pat Singer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 27th at the funeral home.
