# 2024-06-27 16:21:12.086694 UTC (+0000) Brcon2024: Ideology track announcement. Troels Henriksen will talk about forced labour. Does the title sound boring and stupid for a technology conference? Don't stop reading! Troels Henriksen (Athas), main author of the Futhark programming languge, who works at the Copenhagen, will talk about an interesting way in getting contributions into your open source project: Forced labour in academia. Is this a way forward to more contribution in any field? How can this be used for the good of humanity? It will be an interesting talk! Here is a warm welcome Troels! We are happy to have you at brcon2024! After this talk, 20h will talk about the State of Bitreich and some upcoming topic: As you all know, the Bitreich manifesto says "Suckless failed." But manifestos can be changed, they are texts. 20h has been in contact with arg, the founder of suckless, to remedy the problems of the past and work on a bright future for both projects. In the talk he will tell you about the state of this discussion. After the talk, based on the presented ideas, there will hopefully be a big discussion about the future of both projects. Will Suckless and Bitreich unite? How can both projects support eachother? Where could we go? Those questions can hopefully be answered. Stay tuned for the announcement of the other tracks! Interesting topics are in queue. And follow the development of the schedule here: gophers://bitreich.org/1/con/2024 If any of the tracks inspires you and you want to talk about some topic, let me know at 20h@r-36.net, so this can be integrated into the schedule. Have fun! Sincerely yours, 20h Chief Conference Officer (CCO)
