Hi all.

Do you ever feel that you have too many online accounts? I certainly do. I have many gopher spaces,
personal websites and all these messaging and email accounts. It's all too much, really. I am in
huge favor of decentralization though, and I guess this is one cost of it. I suppose I could
just not use the accounts I'm not too keen on...

Recently I came upon the gemini protocol while exploring gopherspace. It's certainly an interesting
idea and I would be in favor of it being more implemented. The sad thing I feel is that most people
aren't aware that there's more to networking than the web. For most people the web is simply Facebook,
Google and possibly Instagram/Twitch/Youtube. I've heard from others that people will question you and
think that you're a threat to them if you mention things like XMPP, Telegram, Tox etc because it's not
policed or government regulated. In any case, I'm hoping more things like Gemini pop up and that cool
stuff happens with it.
