Goodbye to Sol and Terra. Bright Wind is on its way to our
first mission. Most of the crew is on hybernation now, as 
our voyage will take 6 weeks and this is easier on the 
morale and health of the crew and allows us and the State
to save precious resources that could be better employed
elsewhere.
   We are very glad to have received messages from the
T. Pioneers in Ostberlin. Please know that we are taking
steps to improve the reception of our messages, but we
are not familiar enough with the Gopher protocol and we
would be delighted to learn from you.
   To answer some questions: no, the President of the 
Republic did not attend our departure from Terra, but we
are hopeful she would attend our return in five years
time.
   Do we hope to find aliens? Yes, we do! This is our
main mission: to search out for life in any form. Though,
it is unlikely we are to find any advanced civilization,
there is still some chance to meet some people we can 
have some sort of communication. One that would lead to
a more glorious future.
