More than three centuries ago the V.E.In. society, well known corp of the
sector, built more than 10000 space stations in order to refuel their cargos.
They unexpectedly closed all activities some five years ago. Most of the
stations were demolished or looted, while a few others were saved and
sold for a few hundreds credits to people who wanted to live isolated,
at the very edge of the system.

We were desperate, running for our lives as authorities cracked down on the
New Hope Project, considered "extremist". We found a shadowy figure that was
willing to sell us a ship for only 4000 credits. A success, isn't it?

We bought it, only to discover it was the Galactic ReFueling Station CRFS
x3432. The systems were crumbling, vital support was barely sufficient
for two people and the navigation system was corrupted, but
       the engines still worked.

We quickly patched up the strict necessary and drew a route toward the Base.
That single acceleration burned all the remaining fuel but we didn't care:
we were headed toward the future of mankind!

We renamed the ship according to the instructions that were given:
it is now the Quantum Archive, one of the components of the Knowledge Core
       of the New Society.

We prepared to go and take a cryo-nap for a pair of centuries but as soon
as we entered the boxes something happened.

We heard a noise similar to an inhuman scream.
       Lights flickered.
I tried to stop the ship,
       but the burn was done.

We are on the NH17 - Quantum Archive, drifting in space,
headed (probably) toward the Great Project.
