       Many Steps Through Old Times

       5 caches, 8 miles. Start at N 51° 57.264 W 001° 58.028
The series gets it's name for reason - on the walk you pass a
castle, the ruins of a watermill, the old Cotswold way, and best
of all the remains of a roman villa! Not only that, but along
the way there were stunning views! The whole loop is spread out
over a variation of terrain; from fields, to tracks, to
woodland, to lanes - it has it all! I highly recommend it!!

Directions, as per the cache pages:
From the car park by Winchcombe library walk down to the town
centre, turn right and then left down vineyard street over the
bridge to the entrance of sudeley castle,go right to the second
old kissing gate on the right(look for the footpath sign on the
telegraph pole)follow the path over a couple of fields and
       footbridges.
This path will be marked on most os maps as the Cotswold way,it
was re-routed when it gained national status in 2007.
Climb the hill to find the first cache.
Parking by the libary is £1.oo all day.
After finding the first cache carry on walking up the hill
passing Wadfield farm on your right, just before the cottages
turn left on the track,go through the green gates and go left
again, when you reach the houses turn right on the path signed
restricted byway,at the junction of paths go right and then left
at the next junction to find the second cache.

Just before the cache site look for a stone path in the hedge on
the right, this will take you to the ruins of the old watermill.
After finding cache number two go straight through the buildings
of the abandoned waterhatch farm, walking up the hill to find
       cache number three.
After finding cache number three head left on the track towards
spoonley wood,go left over a stile into the wood and descend,go
right at the fork untill you come to a bit of a opening by a
fallen down tree, take the path left to the ruins of the villa
and the cache, have a look under the covers for a nice
surprize, please leave as you find it.

After visiting the villa retrace your steps back to the footpath
and continue down through the wood,at the fork go right over a
stile, cross the field, through the spinney and across the field
to a gate in the left corner, through this gate to find the
       cache.
I have called this cache the hall of fame as there is a camera
in the cache, please only take a photo if you have found all five
caches doing the round walk, thus entering the hall of fame.
After finding the cache follow the footpath signs passing
Sudeley castle on your right, when you reach the driveway go left
       back into Winchcombe.
