I like to roughen up the mating surfaces on these. lets the sealant hold better: she had a little bit of a carbon scrub. no damage to the cylinder. couldn't even see where there would be damage. even the ring was unharmed and reused: of course, wires are a little worn. new harness on the way.... if you're going to remove the spark screen, do this instead. the exhaust coming out through the slot will melt the top cover and chainbrake handle mount: ahhhdunnn! Looks like a job well done. I have never used a 2150 before how well does it run, weight, balance and so on, They are good looking saws. #Post#: 40775-------------------------------------------------- Re: Whats on your bench today By: brokenbudget Date: May 30, 2014, 4:33 pm --------------------------------------------------------- they run pretty good stock. they 'feel' lighter than a 353 and about the same power. this one has the flat top piston (44mm). without a base gasket the squish was about 13-14thou. with stock gasket, around 30ish. I was going to keep this one and do a 346 topend. but decided to sell her off bone stock. I wanna 562 ;D #Post#: 40782-------------------------------------------------- Re: Whats on your bench today By: 3000 FPS Date: May 30, 2014, 8:23 pm ---------------------------------------------------------
they run pretty good stock. they 'feel' lighter than a 353 and about the same power. this one has the flat top piston (44mm). without a base gasket the squish was about 13-14thou. with stock gasket, around 30ish.
