last Monday I picked up this jonsered 2150/ for the princely sum
of 20bux. the seller even threw in a new brake band. :)

guy brought it in to one of the local shops after it started to
act up. didn't want to come down to idle and wanted to rev to
       the moon--ALICE!
turned out it was leaking around the cylinder and block.
I like to roughen up the mating surfaces on these. lets the
       sealant hold better:

she had a little bit of a carbon scrub. no damage to the
cylinder. couldn't even see where there would be damage. even
the ring was unharmed and reused:

if you're going to remove the spark screen, do this instead. the
exhaust coming out through the slot will melt the top cover and
       chainbrake handle mount:

Very nice. Looks like a job well done.
I have never used a 2150 before how well does it run, weight,
       balance and so on,
       They are good looking saws.

they run pretty good stock. they 'feel' lighter than a 353 and
about the same power. this one has the flat top piston (44mm).
without a base gasket the squish was about 13-14thou. with stock
gasket, around 30ish. I was going to keep this one and do a 346
topend. but decided to sell her off bone stock.
       I wanna 562 ;D

I have to go with Roger on cutting it close. I have read that on
50cc saws and smaller you could get away with 0.018
but.........I guess the new owner will find out.
