Buddy of mine gave me one of these yesterday. Real good shape
considering its age. I've never seen one before.

Those were made by Terry Industries in Pointe Claire or
Montreal. I believe they were sold only in Canada. They must
have made a ton of them. They are quite common up here. I
believe the US version was the XL-123 but I could be wrong.

I have a 76 and find it a very capable saw. Although slightly
heavier it cuts with a modern 50cc saw cut for cut. I find it a
much nicer saw to use than my XL12 It's a shame they didn't come
with a chain brake. Also very similar the the XL130.
       Regards, and Merry Christams

I'm pretty sure the chainbrake cover off an xl-130 will fit the
       76. same chassis.

I wish those Homelite CB clutch covers were common in the US.
Would like to find at least one for my Super E-Z's and possibly
one for my XL-103. Only ones that show up often are those from
       the 350/360/35 and 410 saws.
A few years ago, somebody had a couple SXL-925's with CB's
listed on ebay. Had a CB cover assembly listed as well. IIRC
they were all from a local fire department. Had funky short
bars with cutouts. Probably some kind of ventilation saws.
The separate cover went for big money, as did the saws. I'd
LOVE to get ahold of at least one of those covers for my
SXL-925's. I do volunteer cutting in a park, and chainbrakes
       are required there.

It looks like the cb handle pivots on one of the AV attachment
points. I guess the better pics on the way will clarify if
       there is an attachment there
       Thanks,
       Lee

nothing broken, cracked or missing. the only issue is the paint
and the bar adjuster screw head is worn from use. I don't think
there is supposed to be a screw or bolt through the pivot center
       where the handle mounts.
