I have many oem ones left over. If they fit. But I have sold out of all the 500 5000 490 stuff already anyways. Still cool to see a aftermarket piston though. NOS OEM kits was bringing 100-130. I sold them for what I had in them to friends when I got out of the series. #Post#: 44963-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: aclarke Date: August 18, 2014, 10:16 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Did husky use the closed port 44mm jug on any saws? Have a couple clean 5000s with badly scored jugs I'd like to restore #Post#: 45086-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: Chainsawrepair Date: August 21, 2014, 11:29 am --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=aclarke link=topic=2865.msg44963#msg44963 date=1408418174] Did husky use the closed port 44mm jug on any saws? No closed port in 44mm I can think of, maybe I am forgetting one? #Post#: 45092-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: aclarke Date: August 21, 2014, 1:21 pm --------------------------------------------------------- There's been mention of the closed port 44mm on other husky motors but I've never heard any definitive responses to that. #Post#: 45725-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: SawTroll Date: September 3, 2014, 6:50 am --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=Cut4fun_ link=topic=2865.msg45086#msg45086 date=1408638575] [quote author=aclarke link=topic=2865.msg44963#msg44963 date=1408418174] Did husky use the closed port 44mm jug on any saws? It hardly is availiable anyway though, if it was a "special" for that version, as the concept of smaller bore EPA versions was short lived.... #Post#: 45727-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: aclarke Date: September 3, 2014, 11:21 am --------------------------------------------------------- Ordered the meteor piston/cylinder kit for the partner, I'll post a few pics when it arrives. Just picked up a clean 51 with 45mm open port cyl. Piston us lightly scored on exhaust side, cleaned up the cylinder and checked seals, all good. Maybe overheated with dull chain? Intake side was perfect, scored width of exhaust but ring wasn't stuck. Kinda odd. #Post#: 45729-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: aclarke Date: September 3, 2014, 11:43 am --------------------------------------------------------- Found some "slab side" 45mm oem pistons that might work well with the open transfers. Anyone know the original application for p/n 502 128 002 was? Adam #Post#: 45733-------------------------------------------------- Re: 44mm aftermarket 5000 plus and 490 pistons By: Chainsawrepair Date: September 3, 2014, 12:25 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Coming back to Jonsered RS52 RS51 502128002 PISTON CPL 45 MM oem $87 ( I havent a clue on what saw that is).
