By: rms61moparman Date: April 20, 2014, 1:46 am --------------------------------------------------------- Stopped by the local auction house Friday night. Hadn't gotten more than 10 feet inside the door when something yellow caught my eye. I first thought it was going to be a 5000 Partner and my ears perked up a bit. As I got closer I could see it wasn't a 5000 but a nice little Partner nonetheless. When I finally moseyed over to it turned out to be a 400. I didn't know there was such a critter, but it looked to be pretty nice under the grime. The auctioneer said it was guaranteed to run, so for $20.00 it came home with me. As I left the auction house I tried to start it and it would start but not run. I figured carb kit and fuel lines/filter, but when I got it home I saw that the fuel line was kinked. It appeared that the line was leaking and someone had pulled it up through the case a bit and kinked it. I reached in the tank with a pair of hemostats and pulled the line down a half inch and it started and ran. Adjusted the carb and it seems to be doing fine.
