       980 Oleo-Mac
By: Old Iron Logging Date: August 27, 2011, 1:26 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Just been inside my old 980. Someone who knows what they are
doing should be able to make a good 5 cube racer out of one.
I am just cleaning up a few internal things for a small race.

Its a poplar that was milled 4 months before the GTG. First date
was cancelled so we put the cant in the lake for the summer.

Well funs over for the summer. Had our little GTG/race today in
memory of our Husky dealer. New dealer had some 562's for use to
play with. Good saw, alittle behind my 2159. ;)
The old 980 came thru and won its class. Put a 9 pin gear on it
and got a sub 5 sec run out of it. May play with it some this
winter. Play is done, next time I pick up a saw it will be to
       work it.

An Oleo-Mac is a rare bird in itself, selom seen .Fact the only
one I've ever seen was Gypos' 999 which is rather famous or
infamous depending on how you look at it .
