Just an up-date, It has set about 3 days now so I needed to cut
some brush this afternoon so I took the 500 out. One pull and it
ran perfect,.. it is nice to have something you worked on end up
running great when your done. Between this site and another,
lots of reading and great folks answering some questions for me
and I feel like an old hand at repair now !!

Thanks yea I have to think about things sometimes for awhile
before an idea dawns on me.
3000 I see in your signature you have some of the large older P
P's I have tried to search on C L and in a local buy sell
magazine but when I search Poulan Pro all I ever see is the new
homeowner 33-38 cc saws is there a better way to search when
looking for the 1980's / 90's PP's so I can zero in on the older
"real " Poulan Pro saws? I have a local dealer that used to sell
them so I know there should be some around.

Nope no certain way to search for them. Just got to get lucky
IMO. I have maybe 6-7 other part saws on the shelf too and
maybe 3 bins full of parts.
Now forget all about this series and move on. ;)
       Pleassssssssse :D
1 of these 2 505 is 3000fps saw now in his sig.

I hope you know I'm just joking above. I will help you in any
       way I can.
Maybe not send you a NOS piston for a 475 like I did for 3000
when he was looking, but will help when I can.

I do have to admit that I do mot see them as often as I used to.
Like Cut4fun pointed out just search all the places you know.
I was in a gun store in Cheyenne looking at holsters and I get
to talking with a guy and I find he is a retired tree service
guy. I tell him I collect chainsaws and I ended up getting 3
saws from him. So you never know.
That 475 is a great running saw Kevin. Thanks.
The 505 is not bad either. I have some decent size ash here
right now that I have been using those saws on.
I fired up the Jonsered 2083 this morning. First time in about
3 years since I bought it. Runs great.

The biggest saw I own is an old P-70 I would like a newer
7000+ or something a little faster than the 70. It runs fine,
plenty of grunt for what I do but not real high rpms ya know.
Some day I would like to find a Poulan Pro I have a 325 pp now
so I am always on the look out. It would be fine if it needed a
little tinkering I need something to putter on during the
winter's. Don't take this like I am hinting I don't mean it that
way at all just explain what I am thinking about.

       Poulan 325 is a Partner 5500. basically a 5000 49cc updated carb
choke and bigger bore 53cc = more grunt in cut. Have owned 2 of
       them.
