I think they were made by Frontier. It seems like several
companies had these with a different name on them. I think the
       Jonsered was a 361.

       I believe that some were badged as Pioneer P 10 & P 12. I
had a P 12 for a bunch of years and it was a great trouble free
       saw. Frontier did make them.

I have the Husky 35 version. They were made in British Columbia
by Trail Manufacturing which later became Quadra before being
taken over by Emab. A very simple, unit a local chap was using
the engine in RC aircraft. He said they had an excellent power
to weight ratio and was the only one sufficiently reliable.
Mine has a chain brake so is much later than yours.

rburg is correct, they were made by Fontier, annd were sold under
many names and different colors. They are actually a very simple
but powerful and reliable saw, worth fixing.

As I know the story, it is RoyM that is most right regarding the
full story of the production of that saw "family" - but Frontier
may well have been the brand name that the Trail Manufacturing
company themselves used for sales (the saws were sold under many
chainsaw brand names, as well as a lot of brand names not
       usually associated with chainsaws).

That is correct. The first shop I worked at sold the Frontier
version, we couldn't keep them on the shelf. Very successful,
almost everybody had a version of it. Efco built a similar
design which showed up on the west coast as a Skil and I believe
       Danarm.
