       Super EZ flooding
       By: Fishnuts2 Date: July 13, 2016, 8:26 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Just bought a Super EZ and it ran for a few minutes and flooded
out. After a rebuild and taking the carb apart 2X to check my
work, it still floods. It will usually give one pop and that's
       it.
Is it possible the needles are switched? I marked them before I
removed them, but I don't know if they were right when I got the
       saw.
What are the initial carb needle settings for this saw?
       Thanks in advance.

These saws are not the easiest to tune.
Start with 1 turn out on high and 3/4 turn out on low and tune
from there. As long as you're four stroking at wide open at no
load and it cleans up in the cut don't worry where the mix
       screws are.
Those settings are what's recommended in the repair manual.
Make sure your adjustments are made in tiny increments at around
       1/16 turn.
Low side, as always, tune so it rev's up smoothly from idle but
       not too rich.

       I forgot to add,
If it still floods, make sure the metering needle lever in the
carb is set properly which would even with the floor of the carb
       where the lever sits.

I used your advice to check the fuel level lever. It was OK,
however, the diaphragm from the new kit had the extra length to
the button for the clevis to engage. BUT, the original
diaphragm had just a small button or pad for the lever to
contact. I took the dremel and cut off the extra and ground it
down to the level of the original diaphragm button.
It finally started and I got it adjusted properly. This is a
strong little saw, I can't wait to go against my buddy's ms250.

If the fulcrum had a slot in it you could have just slid the new
one in it. If if dont what you did works too. Good job figuring
       it out.
