Hello from Romania . I have a Partner 500 and the throtle lock
is missing. I'm trying to replicate that and i need a good
picture of the acceleration parts inside the handle. Thank you.

Thanks but shipping from USA to me makes the deal too
expensive.I was working today on a Partner 5500 . Bolted the
cylinder and try to rotate the flywheel . No go. Unbolt the
cylinder and start to think :the 5500 came with a 2 mm spacer
under the cylinder .After measuring with the calipers it seems
that the P5500 case is 2mm lower on the cylinder bolts area[ the
crankshaft is 2 mm up compared with a P500 case] That 5500 i got
from Germany as parts saw it came with a 46 mm open port
cylinder[scored-junk]. Under the cylinder gasket +2 mm spacer
without port cutouts + second gasket. What do you guys know
       about the P5500?

Partner 5500 is like our poulan 325 46mm closed port
Look at the poulan pro 325 thread poulan 325. Thinking the
partner 540 was the open port version of the 5500.

The 5500 ipl shows that spacer under the cylinder. The P540 not
and a 46mm open port cylinder bolts on with just a gasket.[ I
have a McCulloch 543{Partner 543}- the last of that line]'. I
don't have acces to a Poulan 325 ipl , they have that spacer?.
The P500, P5500 and P540 krank have the same part number, so the
       case have to be diferent.

For general information: A Husqvarna 55 brake band can be made
to work in a Partner 500 chain brake. Is't a perfect fit but it
works after a little work on the fixed end. EDIT: my fix works
just on the newer plastic chain covers.
