First of all, welcome aboard. Nice to see another Homelite guy.
That saw, probably the company's most popular model, was built
in the mid to late 80's judging by the chain brake style
sprocket cover. The company has changed hands twice since then,
the current products are made in China and not worth space on
       the shelf

Canadian model made by Terry (T in the sn), missing chain brake
handle (maybe entire brake). The brake is rare here in the
states, I don't think they were ever sold that way here. Lots
of parts available from many sources if you want to fix it up,
right down to the decals. Nice.

Homelite Textron And Jacobsen who made that unit sold out to
John Deere back in the 90s and John Deere sold out to TTI and
its been TTI since that is why the manufacture has no clue to
what you have i use to warranty work for TTI but i quit after
       3 months of it .
But i have over 1600 part numbers for Homelite and the XL12
is part of that lineup of parts and i ship worldwide

Do you have the complete chainbrake clutch cover for these saws
? How about the same for the SX925 or the Super E-Z? I could
use a couple of each of those....
