The 066 file is almost 32m so I had to pull some tricks. There should be a link in there to download it? #Post#: 28273-------------------------------------------------- Re: Stihl 066 service manual By: Arrow13 Date: November 26, 2013, 8:40 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Got the manual downloaded. Thanks a lot! It's bonus to get one manual to cover two saws. #Post#: 28274-------------------------------------------------- Re: Re: Stihl 066 service manual By: 660magnum Date: November 26, 2013, 8:42 pm --------------------------------------------------------- glad to hear you got it OK. #Post#: 28275-------------------------------------------------- Re: Re: Stihl 066 service manual By: 660magnum Date: November 26, 2013, 8:51 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Keep in mind and pay close attention to the fact that these two saws went through considerable evolutionary change in 10 years. The red light ignition module itself was not successful in the long run. So along with the 066 cranks breaking behind the flywheel and the new poly flywheel design and larger crankshaft, and different ignition modules, you have to be very careful to get parts to work with a old frankensaw. I have a 066 that looks like a red light at first glance. It has the red light cylinder and covers but it is a later poly flywheel crankcase. The tank is not new enough to have the see through window. It runs real good. It's tough to say with my limited experience if they are all original or not. Basically I have a complete 066 redeye, an 066 partial saw that I'm putting together as I get the parts, and also have a fairly complete 064. None of these saws have a decompression release. I am currently focusing on the coils and the differences between them. Would like to know if only one coil can be used on one saw or if they can be interchanged at all. I do have a local saw shop that is helpful and will answer my questions and also provide advice. I have learned much from them. A lifetime to keep learning and sharing. ***************************************************** (DIR) Previous Page (DIR) Next Page
