       The BULGE- a TAC-T reincarnated
By: hotchy Date: October 3, 2014, 5:39 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       :) Hello folks,
Thought I would put a couple of pics up here of Bulge. She
started life out as a Tac-T fire engine of which 15 were made.
Used as part of the cold war effort, the purpose was to
accompany Harrier jump jets from secret woodland areas.
Well that is what she started life as, now stripped of her
former glory, she were's a new frock, that of a series 3 frock.
This old girl got a face lift, as parts for her are hard to come
by. Scratch below the suface and you will find the odd daub of
red paint, just to remind you of her checkered past.

You can see the rear mount area for the Pyreene pump cradle set
up. You can also see the 1inch lift of the militry chassis.

The new coat of paint going on. Notice the twin tank bracket and
the handbrake mount for the 67 chassis.

Pro comp shocks with 3 or 4 icnh lift from standard.
Strengthened axles bits for the lanes-Mil Spec

Over drive fitted to S3 gearbox- not that its ever used, it
never goes above 3rd. Some red paint still on the prop, just
giving you a glimpse of her past.
 (HTM) http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p99/tencars/Landrover%20109/Camera065.jpg
Looks great, fresh in the paint. First puddle and its history-
No worrries, its to be driven.

Notice I put the series 3 brake extension on the top to take out
some of the tension on the hose. Extended bump stop also part of
       the Mil Spec
