Anthony Joshua lost to Ukranian Oleksandr Usyk in boxing championship heavyweight rematch. He's already lost to him previously but this time it was closer...losing on a split decision. From all accords the fight was pretty good and couldve gone either way. But if you're the champ, you have to get beat pretty convincingly to lose a decision. Thats my opinion anyway. Congrats to the big guy Usyk, he did what champions do. Also, Kamaru Usman lost to Leon Edwards in UFC278. I'm kinda shocked by this. And once again its why I say, in order to be the champ you gotta BEAT the champ convincingly. Edwards did just that and SHOCKED the world. Usman is a no joke, but he got caught. Anyone can get caught slipping in a fight. Congrats to the new Champ....!!! The broadcasters were writing Edwards off too. Basically saying he should be happy to be here kinda ish...[emoji23] (HTM) https://twitter.com/r0bato/status/1561217144209252353?s=20&t=h_U4HZKCwXp0kAZhhG-gpA #Post#: 274974-------------------------------------------------- Re: Night A Good Night For By: Phillyterp85 Date: August 22, 2022, 2:42 pm --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=HollowHustla link=topic=15295.msg274472#msg274472 date=1661086450] Nigerian fighters. Had all the talent in the world to be able to dominate this era, but for whatever reason his offense has been completely derailed and it's his own doing. Went from being a guy with an awesome offensive arsenal throwing beautiful powerful combinations, to a guy that just throws 1 punch at a time. I simply don't understand it. Not sure if he has bad trainers that are giving him bad advice. Or if he just doesn't listen. #Post#: 275068-------------------------------------------------- Re: Night A Good Night For By: HollowHustla Date: August 22, 2022, 6:02 pm --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=Phillyterp85 link=topic=15295.msg274974#msg274974 date=1661197362] Anthony Joshua is so frustrating IMO. Even though the Klitschko brother was old, he fought like a warrior in defeat. The Klitschko bros had a run for sure. The 1st fight vs Ruiz was the one that told me he was a fraud…even though he won the rematch. I knew it then, that he wasn’t gonna be a long term champ. He really wanted Tyson Fury for years, but ended up fighting the champ, Oleksandr Usyk, who beat him twice. Don’t know where he goes from here. #Post#: 275305-------------------------------------------------- Re: Night A Good Night For By: Phillyterp85 Date: August 23, 2022, 3:51 pm --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=HollowHustla link=topic=15295.msg275068#msg275068 date=1661209324] Yeah, when. He says he's too big and it's too hard to throw combos at his size. Such a nonsensical excuse. 1) He used to throw combos, it's not like he's grown since then. 2) Let's say for argument's sake that it's true that he has bulked up since his earlier years and added more muscle and it has negatively affected his boxing skills. Well who's damn fault is that! Then spend less time on sculpting your body and more time on hitting the heavy bag and sparring then. 3) Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, the Klitchkos, etc... ALL big guys that all threw combos. Heck Tyson Fury weighs 30 pounds more than Fury and throws PLENTY of combos. It's such nonsense. #Post#: 275322-------------------------------------------------- Re: Night A Good Night For By: HollowHustla Date: August 23, 2022, 4:02 pm --------------------------------------------------------- [quote author=Phillyterp85 link=topic=15295.msg275305#msg275305 date=1661287907] And his excuses kill me.
