Oh Crap, we're almost out of space!

Well alrighty then. We have been very busy bees. We have been SO
busy that I got an e-mail informing me that our attachments
folder is almost full.
And it only took us a week!
We can buy more space, so this is not a disaster, but the
question is 1) Are we confident enough that we're gonna be
around and active enough long enough to make this worthwhile,
and 2) how much more should we buy - i.e. should we just get 250
mb for now at a cost of $15.00, or go for the 1 gig at $49.00 We
got 10 mb free which means if we continue at the current pace,
we would run out of space again in 25 weeks. The one gig at our
current pace would last us 100 weeks (or close to 2 years).
Personally, I think yes on 1, based on how active we have been
this past week. I'm wiling to cover the $5/month that gets us
the eternal no ads option and personal gallery availability for
members. Some people have offered to chip in for that, but this
additional storage is where I would ask for contributions in
terms of maintenance for this site.
Forum upgrade options here (full disclosure, someone already
offered to pay the one-time fee to install the chatroom feature
and I've just been able to demo that, it looks like it would be
fun - basically instant messaging as a group).

What not buying space will mean - soon we can't upload any more
pics, including custom avatars.
OR. My husband is telling me we should just go reconvene on
Discord, which he insists does not have these limits and my head
is exploding at the idea of starting over but I will figure it
out if I gotta. Or we could call it a day and go join peeps on
Reddit. I mostly created this forum because some people didn't
want to do reddit, so it's up to you guys.
Oh, wait, one last option - I can go and delete some
attachments, but given that they've only been here for a week, I
don't think that's a great option for people who are still
dropping in and checking stuff out/have shared their floofs,
etc.

Please do not discontinue this. I am very comfortable here. The
vibe is great. It reminds me of WAPO. I have also joined Reddit
and find it very challenging to use but I continue to try.

Do you have online banking? If your bank has Zelle, you can send
it right from there.

If you are willing to continue, along with the other mods, I
vote to get more space. We're offering to chip in. :) Moving
things to another platform might prove problematic in terms of
dropping participants. Which is what we don't want.
This site has about 155 members, and a substantial number of
posts. That speaks to its success. It's a much more
free-flowing, organic environment than reddit.....and that
(along with most of the regulars!) is what keeps me here.
