A brief tutorial - Navigation

• To see the most recent replies on a thread, IF you have not
changed your settings to see the most recent post first: look at
the bottom of the replies that are there, and see if there are
additional pages... if so, you can page through by clicking on
the page numbers, or going to "last"
• Shortcut to see what's new - under your username in the upper
left corner there is a link "show unread posts since last visit"
which will show you a list just of what's new-to-you. Credit for
that discovery goes to MayaMia, thx MayaMia!
• To see all posts you have made, there are 3 methods:
[li]On any post you have made, click on your user name which
will get you to your profile page. [/li]
[li]On the top navigation bar, click on "Profile" which will get
you to your profile page.[/li]
[li]On the top navigation bar, click on "Members", find your
username and click on it, which will get you to your profile
page.[/li]
Once you are on your profile page, in the left sidebar under
"Profile Info", click "show posts". This will show you a list of
your posts, and clicking on the topic name will let you navigate
back to that post (it is a hyperlink to the post).
• To see all posts that someone else has made, you can navigate
to their profile page by option 1 or 3 above, and click "show
posts" to bring up the list of their posts.
• If you have not turned on the default for this in your profile
- When sending a personal message to another user, you stupidly
(yes, I said it, stupidly) have to click the "save a copy to my
outbox" button directly below the message window if you want it
to save to your sent messages.
• When you quote somebody, or see somebody quoted, the words
"Quote from _____" directly above the quoted text are a link
directly back to their post, so you can navigate back there for
whatever reason you might wish to.
• You can refer to another post by clicking on the "Reply #___"
directly above the post - it's a link directly to that post, and
posting the url of it will let others navigate there without
having to quote it for everyone if you prefer not to directly
quote.
PHONE differences - we're still figuring this out, but Queenie
found this one for quoting someone when you're on the phone:
• hit the little "settings" wheel at the top of the post. This
will give you a drop-down menu and you can choose "quote."
• [s]The ability to "like" or otherwise react to a post doesn't
work unless you hit the option for "full site" which is a button
on the bottom right of the page when look at the home page.
[/s]This will then make everything look REALLY small in terms of
text, etc. Sorry, annoying.
• To get back to the mobile version of the site (head's up,
almost nobody uses it because you can't react to posts and it's
just not as full-featured), go to the very very very bottom of
the page and hit the teeny tiny word link that says "mobile"

• We are most likely to be found hanging out over here:
(HTM) https://haxnuts.createaforum.com/thread-of-the-day/
and you
should start there if you're looking to talk to peeps right
away.

This was corrected on 11/30 by the platform admin, and the
reaction buttons now work when you're viewing the mobile version
of the site.
