       In Memory of Herb.

       Herb passed away in January, 2015, after weeks of hospice care
       in Big Rapids, Michigan.
       The official cause of death was listed as: ATHEROSCLEROTC
       CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
       Born in Seattle in September 1944, Herb grew upon Bainbridge
       Island.  He attended school there, graduating with  the Class of
       1962.[i][/i]
       From late 1962 until 1968, Herb served on active duty with the
       US. Army.  After his tour of duty Herb worked in the Seattle
       area and attended the University of Washington.  Herb
       transferred to the University of Minnesota - Duluth in 1973 to
       finish work on his degree.
       Herb spent many years as a Professional Fishing Guide on the
       Streams and Rivers of Alaska, Washington,
       Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Minnesota & Michigan.  When
       not Guiding, Herb was employed as a Ships' Captain/Master in
       Alaska & Washington
       until  his declining health forced him into retirement.
       In death he was preceded by his brother Kenneth and his parent's
       Walter & Bernice.
       Surviving relatives: His daughter Wendy (Maine), his brother
       David (Texas) two sisters; Beverly & Sharon (Minn.)
       Herb is also survived by several nieces & a nephew and numerous
       cousins.
