You were the one I looked up to all through my child and young adulthood. In many way's, you were and always will be my Hero. I think we sent to school together from 6th grade through high school. He was an extremely nice guy, a great athlete, and a really good looking young man. BHS class of 1962 will always remember. God Bless you, Herb. We all loved Herb here in Baldwin and he will be sorely missed. #Post#: 19-------------------------------------------------- Re: Visitors By: Michael Hoag Date: February 3, 2015, 2:30 pm --------------------------------------------------------- What a terrific man...the complete package...always enjoyed our conversations #Post#: 21-------------------------------------------------- Re: Visitors By: Denny Reiter Date: February 3, 2015, 3:18 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I only met Herb one time at the BBT shop in Baldwin, many years ago. I was having trouble finding some eager trout that day, and he imparted a couple of points of knowledge that I will always remember. The next day I found plenty of trout by putting to use the little tidbits that Herb had suggested I try. Later in our fishing endeavor's I would see Herb on the river once in awhile, always with a wave and smile. Will miss seeing him. #Post#: 23-------------------------------------------------- Re: Visitors By: Steve Clark Date: February 3, 2015, 11:22 pm --------------------------------------------------------- The very first person I ever meet from the BBT crew was Herb the first time I fished the Pere Marquette (1996-97 I believe it was?) Spent some time in the shop talking with Herb about where to go and what holes to hit. I remember him being a very helpful guy that just seemed down to earth and fun to talk with. Was very sorry to hear of his passing and wish his family well with dealing with their loss. Rest in Peace Herb, I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet you a few times over the years. #Post#: 25-------------------------------------------------- Re: Visitors By: Rickzuzelski Date: February 4, 2015, 12:47 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Godspeed Herb. You were always a pleasure to see, talk with and fish with. You taught me a great deal about the river, fishing and life and I will cherish those memories forever. Your time here was short but your impact was great. I look forward to our next outing on the ultimate "Home Waters". Your friend, Rick Zuzelski #Post#: 26-------------------------------------------------- Re: Visitors By: Steve Fraley Date: February 5, 2015, 11:41 am --------------------------------------------------------- I wish there were a "like" button here!
