Our fishing group made many trips to Baldwin and it was always a
pleasure to fish with Herb. He was truly a gentleman as well as
a most helpful guide. None of our rather frequent fishing
errors ever seemed to get him upset nor did we ever hear a word
of criticism. I am certain that this kind, gentle soul is truly
enjoying a "good time on the river."

My first guided fishing trip on the PM was with Herb. My son
and I repeated our trips with Herb (and other guides) over the
years but I always enjoyed his easy style of fishing. He was
always a gentleman and gave me good advise about fishing "out
west" and around the Olympic peninsula. We met up with him
for a float trip down the Colorado River one summer, and later
that fall he messaged me that he had my son's fishing shirt that
my son had unintentionally left on his boat. When he returned
the shirt, it was laundered and folded. May he rest in peace.
       I will miss him.
