it took us a very long time to believe we were parents, when we were finally lucky enough to hold Sammy in our arms it was just unbelievable that he was actually ours, after all the heartache we had been through just getting pregnant there was no way that this little baby could be ours, and even months and months later we both kept expecting someone to come long and say they needed their baby back now #Post#: 272-------------------------------------------------- Re: **How has becoming a parent changed your life?** By: Angie Date: June 6, 2013, 6:08 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Am i the only one who wasn't overwelmed by a massive change. maybe I'm just the kind of person who takes it in their stride. Obviously things do change but I had only recently got married and thats a change as well. #Post#: 273-------------------------------------------------- Re: **How has becoming a parent changed your life?** By: admin Date: June 7, 2013, 3:42 am ---------------------------------------------------------
Am i the only one who wasn't overwelmed by a massive change. maybe I'm just the kind of person who takes it in their stride.
no Angie i'm with you, other than not being able to believe i was actually a parent now we took it all in our stride well no i lie there, day 5 when we had no sleep at all that night after a really rough day we struggled to take in our stride and did have a panic, even thought about looking for the receipt to return him, but so glad we didn't :P #Post#: 274-------------------------------------------------- Re: **How has becoming a parent changed your life?** By: fairyknowz Date: June 9, 2013, 2:08 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I became a parent nearly 13 years ago but my marriage was hard, I didn't know it at the time...i thought everyones marriage was the same so I suppose I really became a proper parent, one that I can remember anyway about 6 years later. When I finally woke up, realised my marriage wasn't normal, whatever normal is and that I needed to get out and look after myself and my children. I now have three children, all extremely different and one being Autistic. They are all completely different and all my both mine and my now husbands life full and amazing. There isn't a day that goes past that isn't a challenge, that isn't hard work, that doesn't bring tears of some sort and that's like a rollar coaster that one can't be got off and two we wouldn't want to get off. So what does being a parent mean to me....it means a rollar coaster of amazing achievements....every single day! #Post#: 275-------------------------------------------------- Re: **How has becoming a parent changed your life?** By: MichelleTopps Date: June 9, 2013, 4:19 pm --------------------------------------------------------- becoming a parent was the best thing that ever happened to me i absolutely dote over my children and have always put them 1st before anything.
