       Flying with a 13m old

Any tips as to what I can take with me to entertain Z on our
impending 5 hour flight at the end of the month, baring in mind
he will be sitting on our laps :o
Last time was so much easier as he was only 6-7 months old,
breast fed and was in a sling so slept through most of the
       flight.
This time I suspect shall be more complicated...
       Thanks ;D

i've never done it, but i've seen people suggest things like a
       pass the parcel idea
wrap small toys and unwrap another every 20mins or whatever,
wrapping them makes it more fun

What time are you flying? Try and delay nap so hopefully sleep
on plane, let them walk crawl as much as possible b4 boarding
try and tire them out. Something to suck on take off and
landing, we had dummy and bottle maybe a sugar free lolly pop
sweet if you dont mind for once.
We bought a magazine at airport , so colouring in, have you an i
pod or anything to download favourite tv program, We didn t wrap
but we we kept taking small toys away to put in bag that we knew
he liked and then on plane he kept getting one back, lots of
little snacks (eating keeps them quiet lol) games on your mobile
ds etc that he not normally allowed to play on, Am sure we
bought them washable felt tips (again not normally have them
usually crayons and he loved them) Stuff you can do together as
they will like the attention of you both time :-)
We have flown with a 8 month old and then the following year 20
month old this was 4 hr flight. Not looking forward to this 4 hr
       flight lol wont stay still

       security lol!
Emma, great suggestions, I've only got the mobile but may be
possible to download something to it not sure...
