I am a new mom but I have always worked with children and I am planning to do some child minding instead of going back to work as a teacher. Does anyone have any tips about becoming a child minder? Cheers #Post#: 154-------------------------------------------------- Re: Advice how to become a childminder By: InbalB Date: March 18, 2013, 5:25 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Hi Jocelyn, I've put this post on its own topic as I thought it would benefit you more :) Hope you get some help, once we get some more childminders on here I'm sure they will be able to offer some guidance. #Post#: 161-------------------------------------------------- Re: Advice how to become a childminder By: Angie Date: March 20, 2013, 7:23 am --------------------------------------------------------- I would look up www.leicscc.gov. (I think) it's the leicestershire website ir has details on how tobecome a child minder. As a teacher you already have childcare quals but you may need more specific training includeing first aid. Alternatively phone the council. There is a childminders of hinckley facebook site I'm sure they can give you advice. *****************************************************
